We are extremely disappointed to announce that in line with national Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance to reduce social interaction we have decided to cancel Stockton Stages for 2020.

We appreciate this will be disappointing to many people, but hope you understand that this is the responsible thing to do.

Of Rogues and Of Honest Men

Over 150 professional and community performers, musicians, designers, artists and film makers are collaborating to tell the story of Teesside from the point of view of the Irish Community that settled here in the mid-19th century. Told in a very personal, evocative and at times challenging way, the story has other strands to it – reminding us that a community is made up of the obvious and the more hidden aspects of people’s lives and personalities.

Taking the audience through a story of sorrow, love and hope, Of Rogues and Of Honest Men will inforce Mike’s assertion that anyone ‘ordinary’ has the potential to be’ extra-ordinary’ and that the cultural strands we inherited from our ancestors can continue to be a celebrated and cherished legacy for today and our future.

Featuring compositions and songs from the folk traditions of Ireland and Teesside and original songs from Mike McGrother; Matt Wilde; Joe Hammill and the Young‘Uns.

‘There are no strangers here – only friends who have yet to meet’.
